snow!!

Last weekend it was supposed to rain so instead of staying home, we headed for the hills! Z had been begging us for a snowman all winter (thank you, Grandma Walker!), C had the snowboarding itch, & J & I were just glad to get away for the day =] It took about an hour and a half to get there but we were one of the first to arrive & it was great making trails through all the fresh snow!

It's been beautiful weather since then so I'm sure it's mostly melted now... so hopefully with the next storm we'll be able to make trails again =]

*Funny thing... ever since the boys joined us, we have had a hard time keeping working cameras- for some reason when they are thrown so often, they tend to quit working. So last fall, I purchased a water-proof, freeze-proof, drop-proof camera that I thought for sure would solve all our problems. But it is unbelievable how many times I've lost it!

While packing the car for this trip, I began a frantic search for it & couldn't find it anywhere. First time taking the boys sledding & I have no camera- I was not pleased! As we were walking out of the house, I noticed it under Z's bed- hooray! And then towards the end of sledding, it was no longer in my coat pocket. A frantic search started all over the snow covered hill only to have J find it at the bottom... I need a GPS/beeper/something on this thing!
