Happy [rebirth] Birthday!

John 3:3-5 (NIV) In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. "How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!" Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit."

6 years ago on Wednesday, July 31, 2002, the man that I would meet a year later & marry a year after that landed on an airplane in California with nothing but a duffel bag. That night he went randomly to a Skillet concert at Paso Robles' fair and gave his life back to his Creator & God.

Mark 8:35-36 (NLT) If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it."

Tonight (Wednesday, July 30) he's back at the Skillet concert at Paso Robles Fair. Isn't that cool? But this time he's no longer living aimlessly & without hope but serving his Lord in kids church ministries and spreading the gospel to the clients God brings his way.

Mark 8:36 (NLT) "And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?"

And the duffel bag he came with? It has grown to a full house (complete with wife & child(ren)). He's no longer jobless but his own boss of his own company with an employee. The lack of a vehicle in North Carolina has been replaced by a truck and trailer fully equipped to handle almost any job you throw at him. To the world's standards, "he played his cards right", "things just worked out", or "he got lucky". But to God's standards, it's a means to serving Him.

Isn't God amazing? Happy Birthday, Love!

That's the neatest story...God is so God, you and Charles are so great, we've enjoyed hangin' with ya lately. You still look beautiful, even 36 weeks pregnant.
