it's been a while!

This is one of those random let's-catch-you-up-on-pictures-that-isn't-in-the-right-order-but-it-doesn't-really-matter-anyway kind of posts =]

Third times a charm! Yesterday morning C realized our 2nd attempt at a front door wouldn't work either (it's a 100 yr house- they just don't make things like this anymore!) so he sent Z & I to Home Depot to find one we liked & hopefully we could get it to work. It did! It took some maneuvering, cutting, & since it was raining & cold outside he had to close off the front porch, but now we have a beautiful, non-leaky front door! Yay!

Pinwheels! The boys are enthralled with them- even to the extent that if they can't get them to spin in the yard they will beg for a walk =]

A backyard fence! It's big, it's metal, but it's multi-functioning, it keeps my boys in, will make a great back-drop for my garden, & I no longer can see C's "workshop" area or all the neighbors =] (the pic isn't the most up-to-date- maybe next post =])

Z & I had a day together & we went to the $store for some new sunglasses for him. Well, he also found a flag. I have to admit I worried a little about putting this in my yard for everyone to see- not only are we white but we're also American?! Z was so proud & excited of it I just couldn't tell him no. He moves it to a new flower bed every time he goes outside- one of these days he'll find the perfect spot =] And I'm happy to say we haven't had any trouble from any others about it either =]
That day I also took him on an hour long bike ride at the park =] He absolutely loved it! If I hadn't had a hair appointment, we probably would've stayed for a few more =] We had a hard time going up the hills (of course!) but going down he was free as a bird with a big grin & a "yippee!" [with me running behind hoping against a crash!] =)

Love the new door, it reminds me of Ty and Liz's closet doors in their bedroom! Those boys, so grown up, a flag of all things, good for him!!!
Love, Mom and Dad Walker~
