we finally made it!

Nearly every week for the last few months I have tried to make it to the library here in town but for some reason always waylaid. So after 5 1/2 yrs & a major remodel, I entered their doors again with 2 boys in tow. After getting a card, we headed to the kids section & the boys acted like they knew what to do- grabbed a book off the shelf & sat at the table to read:

Can you believe that?! I didn't tell them or anything- I swear! Unfortunately, the peace ended seconds later as they discovered climbing onto the tables, pulling the books off the shelves onto the floor, & hitting the empty shelf to make a loud crashing sound. Lovely. So our trip was short but in those few seconds I was able to find a few finds: an Elmo potty DVD (I am not above using subliminal messages to my boys =]) & a few children's spanish books as I joined a ladies coffee small group this week & we're to only speak spanish & I need a little help in this area... how better to learn than with my kiddos & friends?

Next week. Maybe next week I'll be able to enter the adult world of the library. Or next year. Whichever's the calmest =]
