You know that song by Martina McBride: I am blessed? Good song. The point? It's been stuck in my head since I came up with this title:)
But I am blessed. In so many ways. God just takes care of me. End of story. Is my life perfect? NO! I've had a cranky walking baby on the outside and a growing baby on the inside (both for forever it seems). I don't see eye to eye with my hubby on a very regular basis. Housework and wifing and mommying (combined) is the hardest job ever and never ends- I go in circles.
But then you have a weekend/week like this one.
Char remembered it was my birthday before the actual day and was prepared and ready. He took Zeke & I to the Farmer's Market in SLO (we hadn't been since before Zeke) and we chowed down on bbq goodies and bought green tomatoes to fry and different colors of beets to experiment with. That to me is fun:)
My friend Sarah had a bouquet of beautiful flowers (see picture on "28") delivered to my door - I've never had that done before!
Saturday I made a pie for the first time in probably 7 or 8 years and the guys liked it! (the recipe was the "heart healthiest" I could find- so we really weren't sure!)
I was looking at Zeke pregnancy pictures for the "flashback friday" and realized I really don't like my current hair style and as soon as I mentioned it to Char he was totally for me having a "freedom afternoon" on Sunday. No hesitation. I am so blessed.
So in planning my Sunday afternoon freedom, I knew a haircut, couldn't decide on if I should do the pedicure until another day, and thought a facial sounded really relaxing but also expensive. But as I sat in the seat and had the lady message my scalp with tea tree oil stuff, she also threw in a tea tree oil facial... and the hair cut turned out cute! (see flashback friday)
And while I was relaxing and enjoying peace and quiet and pampering, my hubby was working away at my new garden area:
We may not always agree on things, but I am very blessed to have this man in my life:)

Hey, do you ever let that MAN rest? All we see if work and more work in the photos!!! Love, Mom and Dad Walker~
Oh I think I have a bit of envy...to have a freedom afternoon! How does that feel? I must say you did deserve it and I think I must really be unobservant... I didn't even realize the hair was new! I am really happy that I got to send you your first flowers ever! That is something every girl deserves at least once in their life!
